donkeyInformation overload has the potential to overwhelm good citizens all over the world, and I am not immune!  With a busy life that begins with five children and all their great adventures, I am often not reading all my RSS feeds, not checking Twitter, nor updating Facebook.  However, I do utilize these tools and many others to organize information that I find useful, and I know that I will eventually get to the pieces of info that are meaningful to me.

I can’t keep up with it all and that is okay.  There are no laws that require us to keep up to date on every piece of information rolling around on the web, and there are laws that warn us not to neglect our children.  Remember that the next time a little one is trying to pull you away from a digital device screen.

By the way, happy anniversary to my dear wife Dianna.  19 years and still going strong!!!  🙂

We spent part of Saturday at the Nebraskaland Days Parade.  The following is footage utilizing the new Kodak camera that we are trying out.  The NPHS band is the featured entry in the video!

I just saw this on yahoo.com – that is awesome!!!

We learned some important lessons today as we provided service and shoveled our neighbors snow, played Rise of Nations, fixed up and prepared a small 2 cycle engine in a snowmobile, and of course extreme collaboration (see video):

Charlie and Wyatt continue to share their juggling talents with their latest performance at Rail Fest 2008. These young men have worked hard, and I’m sure they will be invited to entertain in the future!  Enjoy their Saturday morning performance during the hobo contest at the Rail Fest activities in Cody Park below:

Part of our 4th of July was spent watching the hotdog eating contest.  This is time we will never get back, but we just couldn’t seem to look away!

I am off to vacation with my family for the next few weeks.  We have plans to travel the Oregon and Mormon trails through Nebraska and Wyoming and will spend some time on the Missouri River in far southeastern South Dakota.  The best of our time will be visiting grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins (especially Noah!!!).  If we come across an interesting tid bit I will share here.  In the meantime hang out with your family and friends!  🙂

My son Ronan turned 10 on June 2nd! One decade behind him and a whole lot more ahead! Ronan is a very humorous and funny guy. He makes me laugh, and I really like that about Ronan. He cares about other people and how they feel. He is sensitive to other’s needs, and can be very compassionate when he knows it is needed. He had a wonderful fourth grade year with an awesome teacher that made a huge difference in his life!  Thanks Ms. Brinkmeyer!!!!  Ronan is another of my great teachers, and I look forward to continue learning from him for many years to come.
